Class Description
VINYASA FLOW 60’ / 75’
This open-level vinyasa class is about getting out of the head and into the body guided by the breath and our innate curiosity. Every week we work on a theme that we explore anatomically, energetically, and metaphorically to engage all our layers in the yoga practice. Different options are given to accommodate beginners, seasoned practitioners, and everything in between, creating a diverse and compassionate space.
In the 75min class we have a bit of time to get workshoppy to acquire new skills and territories using the wall more props or even a partner.
I have been teaching for 10+ years and am a student of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga. I draw on my experience as a yoga therapist and as dancer to structure the classes in an engaging, fluid, and sometimes challenging way to help the students acquainted with their inner wisdom.
FLEXIBILITY INTELLIGENCE
In this stretching class, we use various approaches to move us into a greater range of motion. Active and passive stretching, PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) techniques, and nerve flossing create the right conditions for our bodies to open. This class is suited to all levels of mobility and can be beneficial whether you are far from touching your toes or working on bringing your legs behind the head.
Our bodies are innately intelligent and even stiffness is a well-meaning response of protection. However, through the conscious use of our breath, the right state of our nervous system, and the application of technique we can help our body let go of some of the held tension to experience more freedom.
We go through a yoga-based warm-up and take it into one or two muscle groups that we target per class. Questions and requests are welcome and some of the exercises can require partner work. The mobility gained through the sessions will hopefully benefit your posture, your yoga practice, and your dance or martial arts expression and contribute to a deeper sense of connection to your body.
YIN YOGA
Wind down, go inward and into stillness. Yin yoga is a meditative yoga practice where we hold poses for 2-5 min with the help of props to move deeper into the connective tissues of the body that cannot be sufficiently addressed in the more dynamic (yang) styles of yoga.
Through gentle compression of the fascia and subsequent release, we bring new blood flow and Prana (life force energy) to these structures to rejuvenate our tissues by adressing the meridian lines.
Yin Yoga is also a deeply restful practice that helps us to slow down and be in the moment. This class is suited for all levels of experience and a wonderful way to conclude your day.

Mina’s Style
Mina has been practicing yoga since 2009 and teaching since 2013. Her style is informed by her dance background, her studies in Iyengar as well as Ashtanga Yoga alike and the voice of the earth. Mina links breath and movement in mindful, heart-warming and empowering ways. Her passion is to create a space in which the students can learn to access their own inner wisdom.
She is a E-RYT 500 as well as a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher. In 2016 she opened her own studio in Dakar Senegal, and is teaching in Berlin since 2019.
Mina has completed numerous yoga workshops with renowned yoga teachers such as Meghan Currie, Elena Brower, Kali Ray and Cyndi Lee. She is also a certified Yoga Therapist with The Yoga Therapy Institute in the Netherlands.
